Location and Setting

Whether you prefer the intimacy of a studio setting, the beauty of an outdoor landscape, beach photos or a specific location that holds personal significance, we’ll work together to choose the perfect setting for your portraits.

Here are 3 locations to consider for your portrait session:

NATURAL SETTING

When you choose a location in nature, like a beach or scenic garden, it provides a timeless and organic feel to portraits. The natural lighting and beautiful backdrop make for stunning photographs.

PORTRAIT STUDIO

Utilizing a professional photography studio provides complete control over lighting, background, and atmosphere. Studio offers versatility in creating different moods and styles through the use of backdrops, props, and lighting setups. Additionally, studios provide privacy and comfort, allowing for focused and uninterrupted portrait sessions.

PERSONAL SPACE

Photographing portraits in your own home or a familiar environment adds a personal touch to the images. This setting allows for capturing you in familiar surroundings, showcasing your personality, interests, and lifestyle. The familiarity of the space can also help you feel more relaxed and confident during the photoshoot, resulting in more authentic and intimate photos.

As a photographer, I prioritize quality over quantity. My focus is on delivering exceptional images that truly capture your essence, ensuring each one is flattering and evokes a lasting sense of awe. I aim to create images that leave you breathless with wonder and excitement. Rather than meeting a predetermined image quota, I meticulously retouch every delivered photo, paying attention to even the smallest details to showcase you in the best possible light. Throughout the process, I consider your ideas, inspirations, and goals, striving to exceed your expectations with each image. My ultimate goal is to leave you eagerly anticipating the next opportunity to capture fresh, stunning images together.

In each portrait session, I incorporate elements of editorial fashion photography. I do this because while fashion photography revolves around storytelling, portrait photography centers on capturing the essence of the individual. By combining both, we achieve the allure of fashion along with the emotional depth of portrait photography.

Photoshoot Timeline

One of the most important aspects of planning a wedding is creating a timeline that works for you and your vendors. A well-thought-out timeline can make your wedding day run smoothly and stress-free, and allow you to enjoy every moment. We have some sample timelines for you to use as a reference, depending on whether you are having a first look or not. We can also help you customize your timeline to fit your needs and preferences.

What to Expect

Creating a portrait timeline involves several key steps to ensure a smooth and successful process:

Initial Consultation:

Meet to discuss your vision, preferences, and any specific requirements for your portraits. Determine the purpose of the portraits (e.g., professional headshots, family portraits, etc.), preferred style, location, and desired delivery timeline.

Scheduling and Planning:

Coordinate schedules to find a suitable date and time for the portrait session. Confirm the location, gather any necessary permits or permissions, and plan logistics such as transportation, equipment, and props.

Preparation:

Consider wardrobe choices, makeup, and hair styling, if applicable.

Portrait Photoshoot:

Throughout the session, I’ll keep the communication clear and flowing while offering creative direction to bring out your best angles and expressions. And of course, we’ll leave plenty of room for spontaneity and creative experimentation.

Image Selection:

Once we’re done with the session, we’ll take some time to go over the images together. We can choose the best ones that we want to work on further, and make them look even more amazing!

Editing and Retouching:

Let’s bring your images to life! By utilizing post-processing techniques such as color correction, exposure adjustments, and skin retouching, I will ensure that all of your portraits have a consistent and captivating style.

Final Delivery:

Deliver the finalized portraits within the agreed-upon timeframe. Turnaround time for portraits and products 2-3 weeks after session.
